Under the top covers we find a plate on which we can mount up to three 120/140 mm fans. As with the front, this plate has an integrated fan hub. The plate can be easily removed via the four thumbscrews. Since the plate makes contact with the case via contacts on the board, there are no cables interfering here either. The cover on the edge can also be removed. This is only plugged in and is mainly made of plastic with aluminum inlays.

The be quiet! Dark Base Pro 901 is currently listed from €289 in the price comparison. Even if the price seems a bit high at first glance, the case offers a lot. We get a case that is manufactured to a high standard and can be adapted to our own needs. Thus, many drives and an optical drive can be installed. We especially like the fan hubs of the mounting plates in the lid and the front. In terms of design, the manufacturer has remained rather discreet and has not overdone it too much with the RGB. The built-in RGB & fan control is a nice bonus, especially since the respective fields can be read well thanks to the lighting. Only the user manual could be more detailed and the on/off button could be a bit tighter in our opinion. No matter if you want to cool with air or water, everyone will get their money's worth with this case. We give it a clear recommendation for a top-class case.
